Checking in
For: Members
When you arrive at the studio, checking in tells staff you're here and marks your attendance for any class you've booked. You check in by showing your rotating QR code — a code in the ClassLift app that proves it's really you. You never record your own check-in; the front desk or a kiosk does it when they scan your code.
Key Concepts
| Concept | Description |
|---|---|
| Your check-in code | A QR code, unique to you, on the Check in screen of the app and web portal. |
| Rotating | The code refreshes every 30 seconds for security — you never do anything, it updates on its own. A screenshot of it won't work for long. |
| Kiosk | A tablet at some studios where you check yourself in by scanning your code or searching your name. |
| Family check-in | If you're a guardian on a family plan, one scan of your code checks in you and your children together. |
How it works
- You arrive and open your check-in code in the app or web portal.
- You're identified — a staff member scans your code (or looks you up by name) at the front desk, or you scan it yourself at a kiosk.
- You're checked in — if you booked a class, that booking is marked attended automatically; if not, your arrival is still recorded as a visit.
- Your visit is saved to your history, so you have a record of when you came in.
Where to find it
- Your check-in code: open Check in — the QR button in the middle of the mobile app's bottom bar, or Check in in the web portal menu.
- Your visits: the same Check in screen lists your recent visits below the code.
