For: Owners, Managers, Front-desk Staff & Instructors
Real-world ways studios use the chat dock.
1. Answering a member's question
Situation: A member messages the front desk asking whether a class suits beginners.
Setup steps:
- The Messages icon shows an unread count — open the dock and pick the conversation.
- Read the member's question and reply in the box (Write a message…), then send.
- The member sees your reply in their own Messages.
2. Looping a coach in with a member
Situation: A member has a question only the instructor can answer.
Setup steps:
- Click New, and under To add both the member and the instructor.
- Give the group a name (for example, Sam — mobility question).
- Send your message — everyone replies in the one thread.
3. A quick note to a teammate
Situation: You need to flag a schedule change to a manager.
Setup steps:
- Open the dock, click New, and search for your teammate under To.
- Write the note and Send message — their role badge (Manager) confirms you've got the right person.
Tips for all studios
- Keep the unread badge at zero during opening hours so member questions get a fast reply.
- Reach for a group when a member's question spans two people on your team.
