Real-world ways studios set up personal training in ClassLift.

1. Boutique yoga studio — private sessions as an add-on

Situation: A yoga studio sells unlimited group classes and wants to offer private 60-minute sessions with two of its instructors, charged separately.

Piece Setting
Providers The two instructors (already providers)
Service 60-min Private Session, Personal training (1:1), 60 min
Availability Each instructor's own weekday mornings at the Main studio
Allowance A Private Sessions add-on plan granting Limited per period · 4

How it works:

  • Members on unlimited group classes buy the Private Sessions add-on when they want privates. Their group-class access is untouched; the add-on grants up to 4 privates a month.
  • Each member books their own time inside an instructor's published mornings. Anything they don't book never appears on the calendar.

2. CrossFit gym — coaching included in the top tier

Situation: A gym has a premium membership that includes weekly one-on-one coaching, plus unlimited classes.

Piece Setting
Service Coaching Session, Personal training (1:1), 45 min, 15-min buffer after
Providers Two coaches
Allowance On the Premium plan: unlimited classes and Personal training Limited per period · 4

How it works:

  • Premium members get both group classes and up to four coaching sessions a month from one plan — no separate purchase.
  • The 15-minute buffer keeps coaching sessions from stacking back-to-back, giving coaches turnaround time.

3. Multi-location personal-training business — one trainer, two sites

Situation: A trainer works Tuesday/Thursday at Downtown and Saturday at the Uptown location.

Setup steps:

  1. Turn the trainer on as a provider.
  2. Add an availability window for Tue, Thu at Downtown, and a second window for Sat at Uptown.
  3. Members booking see only the site and times that apply — Downtown clients get the weekday mornings, Uptown clients get Saturday.

Tips for all studios

  • Providers ≠ everyone. Only turn on the people who actually train; leave front-desk staff and back-office admins off so members aren't offered the wrong person.
  • Sell it, then publish hours. Add the personal-training allowance to a plan first, so the members you enable can actually book once availability goes up.
  • Cancellations free the time automatically. When a member cancels, that slot re-opens for others — no manual cleanup.
